District Comics Signing 27 October 2012

Big Planet Comics was excited to host a signing for the new District Comics: An Unconventional History of Washington D.C. anthology, a collection of true stories about the history of DC, from prior to the city’s founding through the inauguration of President Obama! The awesome local connection got ramped up with how many of the many contributors were DC area locals and natives, so we decided to invite them all to come for the book signing! We only got twelve or so to fit into the store, but it was a great crowd (and only mostly crowded!). All the writers and artists wandering the store, chatting to fans and each other, in a very casual but open environment.
The Washington City Paper ran a preview of the book along with two stories in their September 6 issue. You can still read the article and the two stories on their webpage.
